Dialog Project Awarded to Overdrive

OVERDRIVE bagged its first major win in Malaysia. Dialog Group Berhad, known to be one of the leading technical service providers in the oil, gas and petrochemical industry, has announced last December 2019 that Overdrive will be in-charged of implementing cloud-based fleet management system.

After months of careful deliberation, Overdrive was selected from a pool of well-known vendors who actively participated on the project bidding.

Being on board from start to finish, Overdrive meticulously crafted a platform solely designed for Dialog to improve vehicle allocation and performance, downturn maintenance costs, reduce fuel claims and encourage good driving behaviours. Ensuring smooth working vehicles for a more dynamic business operation.

Built to accommodate the unique needs of Dialog’s fleet, the system enables the tracking of a total of 237 assets which comprises of sedans, multi-purpose vehicles travelling around Malaysia and a few of Dialog’s forklifts operating inside their main warehouse.

However, the system was not limited to just monitoring vehicles. Plugging into the current platform, Overdrive added a employee transportation system which extends to everyone within the organisation – enabling 250 drivers to book vehicles individually or as part of a carpool. This gives about 2,000 employees control and ownership of their work commute by booking their transportation requests online.

Using data from Overdrive’s installed devices, their web-based software and mobile application enable real-time visibility to streamline transport-related processes and Dialog’s overall operation while increasing efficiencies and reducing costs.

The project deployment is said to be completed within the first quarter of 2020 and is expected to run for 2 years.
